Heritage Club

The Heritage Club Golf Course in Pawleys Island, just south of Myrtle Beach, offers Southern charm and hospitality for golfers lucky enough to book a tee time at this layout.

Surrounded by ancient oak trees, huge magnolias and pine forests, The Heritage Club is built on an old antebellum rice plantation that gives golfers the feeling of going back in time.

The natural beauty of the property, featuring fresh-water lakes and salt-marsh swamps, is equaled only by the quality of the course itself. The well-maintained grounds and greens make it an ideal place to play and spend the day.

After playing a round on the challenging Par 71, many golfers like to relax on the porch of the Southern-style Colonial Clubhouse overlooking the Waccamaw River – the perfect way to unwind after a wonderful day of golf.

"The staff at the Heritage made the experience most enjoyable. Due to recent heavy rains, it was a cart path only day which makes for a long day. However the staff kept bringing water etc.. which made the wet conditions a non factor."

One of the best courses on the Grand Strand. This golf course will make you use every golf club in your bag. Heritage Club is in excellent condition tee to green.

One of the best courses in the Myrtle Beach area. This is a fun course that'll make you use all the clubs in your bag. Always in great shape!

The course was in great shape and pace of play was acceptable.

Played Heritage yesterday and have mixed reactions. First off the greens had been punched and I do know why because of the world am contracts. But they were halfway sanded. To me the place is not user friendly. The putting green is miles away from the bag drop and the shuttle guy was not in a big hurry to do anything. We got there early because all of us are legends members and we ate the breakfast. 20 minutes from our tee times the bag drop staff came in rushing us to get out. We gulped down breakfast to find out there was 4 groups waiting on the 10th tee ahead of us. Actually when we were teeing off there was a group turning after playing the front nine. And rightfully so they were ticked off. Even the starter could not believe that the idiots at the bag drop had stacked groups like that. Now I do like the layout of the course but do not like the way it is being managed. We are locals and also all of us are members of both Prime Times and Mystical groups. Pace of play was terrible one group was holding up the back side and the rangers would not say anything to them because they were "members" Also unless you are a "member" you can not take a cart to the parking lot either you have to walk down and get your car or take the slow shuttle. Yeah I am on several golf blogs and people all the time ask me about area courses. Trust me I will not recommend Heritage to any one period. Will give the pro shop and restaurant their Kudos though service and food was good.

Course in great shape! Greens can be difficult with severe undulations. Fairways perfect. Rough manageable. Staff extremely nice!

Course and staff were great. Make sure you get a pin placement card in cart. Ours did not have one-BIG MISTAKE. These are BIG greens. You will need the pin chart. Only complaint would be to FIX the CART PATHS!! GEEZ! Felt like a washboard and it gets old after a 9 holes!

Warren on

Greens were extremely large. The pin placement on the second hole was a bit unfair for the golfer not knowing the course.

One of the finest course of the 20 I have played in myrtle. Caledonia is down the street and heritage club is definitely a close relative. Any memorable holes and one of the most scenic par 3's in myrtle. In held up to the rain well and the greens putted true. The breakfast lunch and drink offer was 1st rate and the proshop was well stocked with many deals. The staff was welcoming and made the day very momorable. It is a play again and again course on our list.
