We have been coming to Myrtle Beach for over 15 years. Yesterday experience at Sandpiper Bay was the worst experience we've ever had in Myrtle. It was cart path only which was expected after a preceding day of rain. We booked for $38 and were told that it included a sleeve of balls. When we checked in we were told that didn't start until the 15th. How would I have known about the ball if I hadn't been told about the deal? It certainly wasn't a deal breaker. The problem was the condition of the course. HORRIBLE. the fairways were barren of grass and the greens were dyed compressed sand. No grass at all. I guess the course has fallen on hard times and can't even afford to keep 3 nines open. We will never visit this course again and will make sure that every golfer I know is aware of the conditions.

This is the most player friendly course in the area. Staff is super and amenities are great. The day we played was wet because of rain and thawing ground, but we were allowed to drive on the rough rather than cartpath only. A little muddy but well worth it.

Robert on

Course in poor condition. Nothing green no grass in fairways. Greens painted.

Nothing at all to complain about in our 4some. Highly enjoyed our round! Course was in excellent shape especially the greens! Some of the best greens we've putted in the Myrtle Beach area. Also, had plenty of wiggle room off the tee which was quite nice

Everything was a great time

Super nice staff, well run course in great shape. Heard more than one person say the greens may be the best in Myrtle area. I agree. The greens were perfect, the fairways very good and all the tees well marked and in good shape. You get free balls at the practice range, great putting green and all of it within just a short walk of the clubhouse. Highly recommend this course. Great deal on a Friday and I will be back. By the way, as an occasional golfer now in my advanced age, this course was very fair in it's play and a lot of fun too. Pars can be made, greens were NOT protected like a bomb shelter, as at other courses and it was just fun to play. Try this course.

Nice grill. Challenging course.

Beautiful and relaxing experience!

Nice track / fair landing areas / no reason to complain unless you can't hit it

Everything started off great until we hit the turn. We had three foursomes of older lady members in front of us that made the back 9 over 3 hours long. The starter laughed and said he would push them along but he couldn't tell a member they couldn't go out. They shouldn't be letting people out on the back 9 after a certain time, knowing the carry over of the front 9 would be cruising along. Other than that, it was a nice course and I would come back again.
