Prestwick Country Club
Prestwick Country Club
Prestwick Country Club’s golf course in Myrtle Beach was voted one of the “Top 5 Best-Kept Secrets in America” by Golf Digest, but the word has gotten out.
This scenic Pete Dye design features whispering creeks and small lakes serving as natural water hazards on the course, while man-made mounds and staggered bunkering serve as difficult obstacles in reaching the deep bulkhead greens.
Surrounded by thick pine forests and sandy waste areas, Prestwick presents golfers with one challenge after another, requiring a steady eye and hand and patience when it comes to the many risk-reward opportunities golfers encounter
Dense forests of pine are paired with sandy waste areas for a contrast of perfection of steep berms, deep bunkers and bulkhead greens that make Prestwick such a popular place for golfers of all skill levels.

I was paired with another single. This was our first time playing this course. It was a cold Saturday morning. 47 degrees.
I was pleasantly surprised. Great course. The fairways were generous but with the undulations and water hazards this made for a tough test. Did not play anywhere close to my usual game as I lost few balls to OB or water.
The greens were in excellent condition, generous but super fast. I had so many three putts. 17th an 18th green were contoured in ways I have never seen, like there was large mound or hump or something.
I love this course, its just so appealing and naturally beautiful. hope to play it again in the future and shoot better scores.
Course is a joy to play and can be one of the more challenging layouts in the area. In very good shape with fast greens. Very beautiful 9th and 18th holes sharing a lake coming back towards the clubhouse!
One of the best layouts in Myrtle Beach. Greens were a tad slow and bumpy from aeration still pretty nice. They'll be mint in another week or so. LOVE THIS TRACK
The greens were in wonderful condition, putted true and fast. We will return again and again!
I played Preswick approximately 10 years ago, and the course condition was not good. I've had little interest in returning. We were pleasantly surprised with the course today. The greens were very fast and putted true. the Fairways were in good shape. the Tees were so so. I usually don't like Pete or PB Dye courses because they are so penal. I didn't have that judgement today. Even my wife (a 38 handicap) enjoyed her round, although she had difficulty with the traps.
Not my favorite. Course condition was fair at best, greens and fairways beat up and poorly maintained the day we played. Didn't love the layout. Wanted something close to the airport, probably wont play again.
The course was in good shape from tee to green. Greens rolled great. Staff was friendly and helpful. Nice pro shop and grill. But this is a very difficult golf course- tough greens and mean pin locations. Too difficult for me to return to play again.
Prestwick is a fun, well conditioned golf course with a variety of memorable holes. The staff is friendly and hospitable.
Excellent Pete Dye course. Greens very fast but putt true. Some very difficult pin positions, they forgot to tell the greens keeper that the Masters was in Augusta. Excellent test of golf and in great shape
