Don’t Miss the APT Myrtle Beach Labor Day Classic

Come compete for two days in the golf capital of the world — and see if a celebration is in your immediate future.

The sixth annual APT Myrtle Beach Labor Day Classic is Sept. 3-4 on two Grand Strand courses. Fees are $265 for members and $285 for non-members.

It’ll all take place on the 6,214-yard, par-72 course at World Tour Golf Links. And, the TPC Myrtle Beach in Murrells Inlet (6,554 yards, par 72).

One Hour Heating and A/C will sponsor the tournament. The prize fund is $60 per player, and you’ll get a tee gift for registering. It’s a double-point event for the Player of the Year competition. At this point, there is no refund for event cancellation.

TPC MYRTLE BEACH

Players love this course and its top-notch design by architect Tom Watson. Many legends have played TPC Myrtle Beach, including Gary Player and Lee Travino. It’s open to the public and features one of Myrtle Beach’s best practice areas.

WORLD TOUR GOLF LINKS

You’re in for a great time and an awesome round of golf at World Tour Golf Links. This Carolina Forest course features an antebellum-style clubhouse and a Mel Graham design. He replicated 18 of the most challenging holes in the world into one unique course.

What’s the format for the APT Myrtle Beach Labor Day Classic?

This is an 18-hold championship open to all Amateur Players Tour members. Entry fee covers:

  • Carts fees
  • Greens fees
  • Live scoring
  • Practice facility use
  • Prize pool
  • Trophies for each division champion

Officials expect a sellout. If there’s a tie for first place, participants will have an on-course playoff immediately. Prize winners will receive VISA gift cards.

USGA Rules will govern play, and local rules and conditions apply.

Are there side-game options for this tournament?

Yes. Please pay cash at the registration table at check-in. Fees are:

  • Division Skins – $10

This will go to a skins contest, applicable to your division only. Officials may combine divisions based on field size.

  • Super Skins – $10

This will go for a skins contest for all participants.

  • Optional Net Game – $5

This will go for a closest-to-the-pin competition for all participants.

Skins are usually paid out after each division’s play. Super Skins gets paid out after the tournament. If you’re not there to get your winnings, officials will hold them for your next event.

Members who’ve bought into the $2,500 hole-in-one club are eligible for $500 for each ace. One daily ace will pay $2,500.

Is there a dress code?

Members and guests should dress and behave in a way to reflect well on the Tour. Collared shirts, including blade or mock collars, are required. Denim, jeans, or cutoff shorts are prohibited.
