Witch Golf Club

The Witch Golf Club spans more than 500 scenic acres between Myrtle Beach and Conway, creating a course that is both enchanting and challenging.

Just as the classic film “The Wizard of Oz” featured good witches and bad witches, this layout lives up to its name with beautiful scenery and course craftsmanship, as well as deceptively dangerous holes that can scare the best of handicaps.

Designed by renowned architect Dan Maples, this 4.5-star course, according to Golf Digest, sits among dense forests and pristine wetlands, far removed from the homes, hotels, development and distractions that surrounds other links on the Grand Strand.

With more than 4,000 feet of bridgework required to navigate the lowcountry layout, golfers of all skill levels will be taken by The Witch‘s natural beauty and put to a difficult test by the course’s cleverly conceived configuration.

This course has great bones and was a must play back in the day. Interesting holes, terrain, wildlife. But they ownership simply has not kept it up. Pro Shop and Grill were abandoned. No help with carts. Greens and fairways were not taken care of. I had given very good reviews to my wife before we got there and even she was disappointed. Please put some time, money and engery back into the old lady and bring her back to former glory.

The Witch was great, very green, and in really good shape.

I’ve been going to Myrtle Beach for 15 years now and this is by far the worst course we have ever played. There looks like there hasn’t been any maintenance done in such a long time the greens are not green they had two different shades of brown there’s not even any grass on the greens the tee boxes are all brown no grass whatsoever. The back nine looks abandoned that’s how bad it was . We are so upset that Myrtle Beach golf.com would even recommend this course I wouldn’t recommend it to a five-year-old to play

What a great first time experience at the Witch! A very fun and intriguing layout. A memorable day though out the 18 holes as I saw wildlife such as turkeys and gators. Overall great experience and great recommendation to all!

Pro in shop did not mention greens had been reseeded but rain had washed all of it away.( they didn't think to reseed next day after rain??) Anyway, this left us with a $42 game of PLINKO on the greens. They did not offer a reduced rate for less than exceptional course conditions and then tried to charge $29 for a 9 go back. Not the way to run a business. Love the course from previous play but will definitely rethink EVER playing course again.

tough track. course wet

Very friendly folks from pro shop to grill. Great experience. Would play again for sure

Good mix of holes, greens rolled true. Front nine winding through the wetlands was very good. Will go back and play again.

Have played this course many times and this by far was the worst condition we have seen it. We brought some friends to the course because we really wanted them to play it for the first time. The course has had a lot of rain and was cart path only for the first 10 holes. Greens were freshly punched and we never found out until we go the first green (barely top coated in sand). It was nearly impossible to putt and very disappointing. Bunkers were also in terrible condition, not many rakes, and some had grass growing through them . We did not see a single person working out on the course except the cart lady that traveled around on a regular golf cart with a small cooler. They should have closed the course until it dried out and let let the greens repair, but they were too interested in getting money. This is usually one of our favorite courses to play, but will not be back until they put some time and money into upgrading the property, especially with the rates they are charging for summer. People in the clubhouse were not very attentive

The course was very nice and took us through the wetlands of myrtle. It was my first time golfing on a course like this and was a lot of fun.
