Indigo Creek Golf Club
Indigo Creek Golf Club in Myrtle Beach, just south of Myrtle Beach, is a classic Lowcountry course that is as enchanting to look at as it is to play.
Carved out of a former indigo plantation teeming with pine forests, twisting live oaks and gently winding creeks, Indigo Creek was one of the many masterpieces of legendary designer Willard Byrd.
The word may be out about Indigo Creek – Golf Digest has ranked it among its “Top 10 Places to Play” list and awarded it 3 stars – but the serenity that surrounds the challenging layout remains.
Featuring several risk-reward holes that involve traversing natural water hazards and wetlands, Indigo Creek is a golfer’s paradise for those who like a true test of golf in a truly beautiful setting.

Terrible conditions. Fairways have to be the worst in the area and the greens should be plowed up and redone. There have to be better courses in the area then this one. We will never be back. Plus there was a different price for each person in the group. How can that be?
Really bad course. You have to play here with knowledge that this course is horrible and that you aren't going to enjoy it. Only played 9 holes because of the conditions. Tee boxes COVERED in Bird cramp was the funniest part.
Tough course, plays longer than the yardage indicate. Had to play many of the par 4s like par 5s
The course is open, long, and deceiving. Open fairways, but long; and you can't be right or left. Water everywhere awaits. Course retains water, and we played right after it rained; no rolls, and sloppy conditions. Both of us where totally spent after playing, We scored high, but we had fun. No one in front or behind, and we could enjoy every shot. One of those special days of just enjoying being there. Only bad part was the ranger coming on the 15th hole saying we needed to hurry along? We played in around 4 hours and didn't think this was a issue. Maybe he was just making fun of us.
Sand bunkers were mostly unplayable but other than this we enjoyed the course and terrific breakfast sandwiches.
