Glen Dornoch Golf Links

Since 1996, Glen Dornoch Waterway Golf Links has paired up with the Intracoastal Waterway that flows through its birthplace of Little River to present an ace of a golf experience.

The golf course, designed by Clyde Johnston is surrounded by more than a half-mile of waterway, as well as wetlands, so play requires a protective creativity on most holes. Five holes, in fact, skim up to the edge of the waterway; water comes into play in 14 holes of the round. There’s even a mind-blowing double-green shared by the ninth and 18th that’s backed by the waterway.

The par-72 Glen Dornoch has a total yardage of 6,890, which is filled with plenty of challenges and pretty views over the Tifdwarf Bermuda greens. Some of the best known on the Grand Strand. Standouts are holes No. 8, 16 and 17. But you may make your own memories and favorites.

And don’t forget the 19th hole at Glen Dornoch, where you can kick back with a snack or drink on the clubhouse deck, and take in that double-green that’s only yards away.

Great golf in a natural setting.

Randy Souther on

I play this course everytime I come down and I love the layout and is always in great shape.

Not worth the money greens are terrible

Frank on

Wow, this was a great course. It was a little chilly, but I was expecting that since it's December. The course was in great shape, playing along the waterway was a real treat. I'll be playing this one again soon.

I should get refund. We paid $65 through Myrtle Beach Golf.Com and could have walked up and paid $27. Even that would have been too much. The greens were the worst I've ever seen. They aren't even greens. They are dirt with patches of grass in them.

Robert on

Tough challenging course but in beautiful condition and great location on the waterway. Lots of shots required over scrub.
Would play it again now that I know the layout.

Will not book again. They double book so they can maximize profits. We were first group out on #1 then went to make the turn and four groups of four were in front of us on #10. Played several other courses on my vacation and none did this to us. We demanded refund/raincheck and received one. Mickey Mouse way to run a course

Rich on

Great course, greens ready to be punched. Always a good experience

Jack on

Could not understand why range balls were not included in price plus there was no sign telling us. Did not find out until we went to the range 15 minutes prior. Lady behind the counter was not friendly. Greens very bumpy. Lawn mowers didn't stop when you were hitting the ball. Not even close to the Barefoot resort golf experience. Finally only one person working grille at turn, where it was backed up due to double tees off #1 and #10. We had to wait on every shot on back nine. Why should we be penalized for getting up and getting and early 7:25 tee time and have to wait? Very disappointing all around.

Dan on

I love everything about this place. They had some issues with the greens but they made up for it on greens fees.
