Barefoot Resort: Fazio
The Fazio Course at Barefoot Resort & Golf is another work of art by award-winning architect Tom Fazio, who masterfully designed the course to accentuate its Lowcountry assets of live oaks, pines, sand and native grasses, combined with natural elevation changes and water features on 15 holes.
The Fazio Course is located between Barefoot’s Dye and Love Courses in North Myrtle Beach, but certainly stands out on its own at 6,834 yards long. The par 71 layout is European in style, in that the course doesn’t return to the clubhouse after nine holes.
Greens consist of newly added Champions Ultra Dwarf Grass, tees and fairways boast GN-1 Bermuda grass (a hybrid turf developed by Greg Norman Turf), approach areas are seeded with Tif- Sport Bermuda grass and the rough areas are 419 Bermuda grass.
Don’t forget to take advantage of the 35,000-square-foot Barefoot Clubhouse and The Range at Barefoot, a lighted facility with more than 30 acres of manicured grass.
Players of all skill levels will be able to fully take advantage of this championship course that has been listed among the Best Courses You Can Play by the South Carolina golf course ratings panel, ranked No. 81 among Golf Digest’s America’s 100 Greatest Public Golf Courses in 2009 and touted No. 6 among Golf Digest’s Top 50 Courses of Myrtle Beach in 2005.

View This ResortFazio was in excellent shape with smooth and true greens for the winter! Staff was accommodating and I was highly impressed.
This was the first course on our package featuring all four Barefoot courses. It exceeded our expectations for it's conditions and playability. It set the table for the rest of our trip. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating from the bag drop to the grill. First class!
Hands down one of the better courses in Myrtle Beach! It's a tough test, but a fair one. The greens are silky smooth. Staff was amazing. I recommend checking this one out, next time you are visiting Myrtle Beach.
Excellent overall, but starter had an attitude over 2 off the first tee. As the course was stacked, we were two threesomes, and we paid $180, he should have kept his mouth shut, no other course complains.
The course is fantastic. It is one of the best courses in the area. We will likely stay in the resort so we can play there next year.
