This golf course is awful. We were charged a premium to play and the course design is bad and the course condition was even worse. Go play anywhere else you will enjoy it more.
This was our worst experience in 19 years of coming to Myrtle Beach. Do yourself and your group a favor and play anywhere else , you will be happy you did.

Compared to other courses in that exact area (Caledonia, True Blue, Pawleys), Founders just doesn't cut it - at least not yet.
The greens were nice - but the course is pretty exacting at there are waste bunkers everywhere. My group and I probably hit more shots from the dirt than the fairways. In all, its a good course but not like the others in the area.
The staff was very nice!

As a part-time resident of Pawleys Island, I've watched them transform the old Sea Gull. In December, I walked a number of holes on the course and took some photos. The course will be tough, especially number 9, a par 5 which appears to have little margin for error on the drive and approach. Founders Club should begin to be mentioned in the same breath as Pawleys Plantation and True Blue, if not Caledonia (at least for now).
