Shaftesbury Glen Golf & Fish Club in Myrtle Beach
Shaftesbury Glen Golf and Fish Club is a Clyde Johnston design built in 2001 and one of four golf courses in Myrtle Beach's Glen's Golf Group.
Though set on relatively ordinary Carolina terrain, Shaftesbury Glen distinguishes itself in a variety of ways. It features wide fairways that let you bomb driver on practically every hole, though the course really shines on its greens. The complexes pay tribute to legendary architect A.W. Tillinghast, designer of courses like U.S. Open venues Winged Foot and Bethpage Black. Each green is elevated and features large, splashed bunkers guarding the sides.
Shaftesbury Glen is located in Conway off highway 22. Peak season green fees are $100.
