Founders Club on Pawleys Island, South Carolina
02/10/2008
The Founders Club on Pawleys Island opened Feb. 1. The new course replaces Sea Gull, one of the oldest golf courses in the Myrtle Beach area, having been built in 1966. The routing of the course remains the same, and only a handful of holes have different pars than they used to, but architect Thomas Walker's sculpting of mounds and bunkers give it a much wider, dramatic canvas. Myrtle Beach National - South Creek course
03/23/2007
Sister to Myrtle Beach National's King's North and West tracks, South Creek is a tight track (6,400 yards) that takes the driver out of golfers' hands. No. 7 is a nice severe dogleg around trees that makes you think before swinging. [...] more »
River Club golf course - Pawleys Island
02/27/2007
There's water on 15 holes on the Tom Jackson designed River Club golf course in Pawley's Island, S.C. but even high handicappers can get around without losing a ton of balls, as most of the hazards are well off the roomy fairways. But your short game will get a workout from the plethora of heavily guarded greens. [...] more »

Wicked Stick Golf Links - Myrtle Beach
12/18/2006
The Wicked Stick Golf Links course itself might throw Big John lovers off a bit; this isn't a pure grip-it-and-rip-it track. It's styled more like a links, albeit one with plenty of room to bomb. It's hard to imagine many true Scottish links courses having these mammoth par 5s. [...] more »
Heather Glen Golf Links - Myrtle Beach, SC
11/28/2006
Heather Glen Golf Links is a course that has Scottish themes laid out on a tree-lined, parkland layout deep in the South Carolina backwoods. There is another Scottish theme, if you'll pardon the stereotype: It's cheap. At least the green fees are cheap for what you get. [...] more »
