Wyndham Myrtle Beach
Resort Welcomes Group Tours

TravelGolf.com Staff Report

Myrtle Beach, S.C. (OCT. 11, 2001) - Wyndham Myrtle Beach Resort has taken a number of steps to welcome group tours and group leaders who are looking to experience one of the top luxury hotels along the coast. Once again, Wyndham has taken the lead in providing amazing quality services and features that would make it simply unreasonable to book an overnight stay anywhere else along the Grand Strand.

What can group tours expect after making their arrangements at the Grand Strand¹s premier oceanfront resort? According to Sales Manager Sandi Stowers, a lot.

Wyndham Myrtle Beach offers a special complimentary welcome reception upon arrival, making guests feel right at home. The group's leader is treated with VIP service and is presented with a free gift upon arrival and guaranteed nightly turndown service. Group tours also receive complimentary bus parking on-site, as well as complimentary coffee and coffee makers in each room and free copies of USA Today Monday through Friday. For added convenience, each guest's room features a refrigerator, shower massager, hair dryer, voice mail and an in-room safe.

The hotel also offers on-site dining, and room service is available throughout the day. Hospitality suites are available for event receptions and meeting rooms are also available to guests if needed. During downtime, tour groups can use Wyndham's exercise room, heated swimming pool, tennis courts and on-site golf course, Arcadian Shores. In addition, the hotel houses several small retail shops and is in very close proximity to the area's top shopping, entertainment and dining venues. A free shuttle service is also available through Myrtle Beach Key Attractions to carry guests to and from Broadway At The Beach.

Groups that return to Wyndham Myrtle Beach Resort can access a special "By Request" program, which is designed to serve as an added value for the resort's frequent guests. Once a guest registers and stays at the resort at least twice, the guest can be enrolled in the program at no additional charge. The "By Request" program can be tailored to have items as diverse as a favorite magazine, favorite soda and airline points awaiting a guest's arrival each time he/she stays at a Wyndham hotel.

Wyndham Myrtle Beach Resort is located just off Highway 17 and is accessible via the new Veteran's Highway, U.S. 22, which helps visitors to the Grand Strand area bypass U.S. 501. For reservations, call (843) 449-5000.

Pawleys Plantation Is Now Offering Meeting Planners An Incentive To Meet In The Lowcountry

Phil Ritson Mel Sole Golf School Now Provides Instruction, Drinks And Snacks To Meeting Groups

Pawleys Island, S.C. (October 3, 2001) - The Phil Ritson Mel Sole Golf School, one of Golf Magazine¹s "Top 25 Golf Schools In America" is now offering the "Golf Break" to businesses and corporations who hold meetings at Pawleys Plantation.

Those participating in the "Golf Break" have an opportunity to meet Mel Sole, one of Golf Magazine¹s Top Teacher¹s in North America, on the veranda overlooking the 18th green of the Jack Nicklaus signature golf course, just a few steps away from the meeting facility. Here, participants will be given a brief introduction followed by a 15-minute instructional clinic.

The clinic will focus on the "short game" demonstrating pitching, chipping or putting drills with the optional participation of a designated person from the group. If time permits, the instructor will field questions from the group.

Also available during the "Golf Break" are buckets of ice cold Gatorade, coolers of bottled water and buckets of snacks from cheese crackers to a fruit spread.

The "Golf Break" is an extra amenity to the meetings at Pawleys Plantation and is available for $100 per group.

"The ŒGolf Break¹ is provided to enhance a business meeting and to help any golfer's game," said Mel Sole Director of Instruction. "After sitting in a conference room for several hours guests are more than ready to take a short walk outside and swing a golf club. This not only allows some stretching and stress relief it features helpful tips for the short game."
