Scenic wetlands - not Scotland - is the draw at Aberdeen Country Club near North Myrtle Beach
Aberdeen Country Club is probably the most scenic course on Highway 9 in the Longs-Loris region about 10 minutes from North Myrtle Beach, thanks to its forested wetlands location. Regarding the name, don't expect too much of a Scottish theme here, but that's okay. Aberdeen still finds a niche among the North Strand golf offerings.

The care put in here in the course's conditioning and layout sets it apart from the pack, and thus it should easily find a place in even the most conservative itinerary.

Myrtlewood Golf Course is further evidence of my theory that the vast majority of golfers are looking for a player-friendly course. The Palmetto course here has been around for more than 30 years and is one of the top "repeat play" courses along the Grand Strand.
