Lion's Paw Golf Links in beautiful Ocean Isle, N.C., located just a short drive from Myrtle Beach, is widely considered to be legendary architect Willard Byrd's best masterpiece.

This spectacular layout, which makes up the 72-hole Ocean Ridge Plantation's Big Cat golf family, rivals Tiger's Eye, Lion's Paw and Panther's Run in both beautiful scenery and ingenious design.

Nestled along a meandering tidal creek that empties into adjoining wetlands, this spacious, links-style course carries over a hilly terrain and around dense maritime forest.

The serene setting can be misleading. Lion's Paw was awarded 4 stars by Golf Digest as well as being named in the "Top 50 Places to Play in Myrtle Beach" in part due to its deep, dangerous bunkers, natural water hazards and multi-tiered, MiniVerde greens.
