Aberdeen Country Club may be located off the beaten path in the rural area of Longs, S.C., but this North Myrtle Beach golf course is renowned to be one of the country’s best – ranked 4 stars in Golf Digest’s “Places to Play 2006” and the only recipient in the Carolinas of Golf Digest’s prestigious medallions for both value and service in 1998.
Aberdeen’s award-winning 27-hole layout, designed by Tom Jackson, delivers a Scottish flair. Each course – the Highlands (3,405 yards), Meadows (3,306 yards) and Woodlands (3,445 yards) – is paired with natural surroundings in its scenic, towering hardwoods, the Waccamaw River, along with the course’s lush new Tif-Eagle Bermuda greens.
Open in 1989, Aberdeen is located along a protected riverfront preserve, teeming with wildlife.
In addition to the ongoing “Kids play free everyday with a paid adult” special, Aberdeen offers these highlight amenities: putting and chipping areas, driving range and practice bunker.
