Designed by Rees Jones, one of America's foremost golf course architects, Belle Terre opened to rave reviews and had gained in popularity since.

Belle Terre's Championship course has played host to numerous events of note including: The Powerbilt Tour's East Coast Championship, The DuPont World Amateur Handicap Championship, The Golf Channel's Drive, Chip and Putt Contest, The Toyota Skills Challenge and Slazenger's National Father & Son Team Classic.
