Myrtle Beach fishing tips: try Waccamaw River
When it comes to Myrtle Beach, there are many that come solely for the golf, which is understandable. Others come for the award-winning beaches. Others, however, have just one thing in mind when their feet hit the Grand Strand - fishing.
Yes, fishing is a popular activity in Myrtle Beach, both in the ocean and in the numerous lakes and rivers. Here’s a tip for those of you that feel better with a pole in hand rather than driver - take a look at Waccamaw River.
Just head to the Brunswick Islands and you’ll find plenty of opportunities at this freshwater river. Launch onto the east bank of the Waccamaw River at the N.C. Highway 904 bridge at Pineway, just five miles north of the South Carolina border. You’ll be glad you did, and may come home with the catch of a lifetime on your Myrtle Beach vacation.
